Zoo.Com – Family Safe Search Engine?
Well they do say if you can't be top dog in a category, to try and create a new category and be top dog there. Zoo.com is a 'No sex results' search engine so should in theory be child and family safe. That said, we're dealing with computers here and there will no doubt be the odd adult subject matter get through.
Why zoo? No idea but as its memorable and short…. If you search for zoo on it, it it pulls up a matching domain (guess whose) then a quote from Wikipedia and then a small number of zoo results. In fact all searches pull up under 100 results, with some being sponsored results (ie adverts) links (I searched for my name and it came second to a sponsored result) but only out of 81 results. On google, it finds 1.4 million (It used to find 24 million, so perhaps google has been doing a bit of trimming?)
Just for fun I tried searching for phrases like "Pair of melons" to see what it returned. Plenty of references, some dodgy jokes and the odd story but no pictures…
