Wikia- The power behind Wookiepedia (and 1500 others)
As impressive as Wookieepedia is (and it is), it could not exist without wikimedia software and also Wikia.com. Setup by Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, Wikia is a for-profit company that lets anyone setup a Wiki free on Wikia.com.
Wikia has over 2,000 Wikis on it- eg the Muppet Wiki with over 10,000 articles on it or the psychology wiki with 11,000 on it as well as smaller ones like p2p with 97 articles.
