From the same people that brought you Wikipedia.org comes Wikiversity, a free site where you can teach or learn subjects in these categories : Engineering · Fine Arts · Humanities · Interdisciplinary Studies · Life Sciences · Physical Sciences · Mathematics · Social Sciences · Practical Arts and Sciences.
Conceptually it's a brilliant idea, and somewhat obvious given the nature of Wikipedia. The question of course will be can it maintain quality given that it's free. I don't think even Douglas Adams envisaged the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy being created freely by people in their spare time! (But I could be wrong). I am a big fan of Wikipedia- despite the criticisms it gets, it is still pretty amazing. So could this be…
