Want to Know (UK) House Prices Where You Live?
One of my favourite websites, this gets data from the Land Registry (Anyone know how much this service costs?) and lets you search by postcode, address or house name. It then shows all property sales in that area back to about July 2000 when the Land Registry started selling this data.
There are several websites that do this but houseprices requires no registration and allows effectively wild cards by putting in partial post codes. Eg FY5 returns 8,625 properties while FY5 1BJ returns 13. My old address at FY5 1BJ sold for £46,000 back in 2000. It’s now probably worth twice as much!
