Virtusphere- I want One!
Ok, so I'm a big kid but this is a big toy (although the photo looks like a plastic toy cowboy inside an inflatable transparent football). This isn't the same as the water ball though it looks similar. It's actually a Virtual Reality (oh here goes 1995 all over again!) environment. Sort of like a very cheap holodeck (from Star Trek Next Generation). The ball has six degrees of freedom- think of it like a giant hamster ball except it stays in one place. It comes with a wireless virtual reality headset and gun.
It took 45 man years to develop. You buy it as a flat pack and put the 32 bits together but it only weighs 286 lbs. They have downloadable videos but you can see it on YouTube. I guess it's the ultimate fitness toy for the geek who likes playing online games…I have no idea how much they cost but it must be a few thousand dollars or pounds.
