Virtual Etch A- Sketch
In 1959 (my year of birth!) Arthur Granjean, a French man invented the Etch-A-Sketch. It uses aluminium powder which is removed by the stylus. I used to have one but despite the instruction book that came with lots of examples in code like 2l4u3r1d (in effect a human operated computer program!) , I was never that artistic. It's quite a frustrating medium to work in as you can't remove any mistakes without erasing the whole lot.
The gallery has thousands of examples many down to my standard of artistic ability! You can draw something yourself and have it saved into the gallery. I demonstrated by "ability" by writing Portent. At least it sort of looks like the word!
