The Meatrix- Excellent Anti Factory Farm Animation
Most people never ask themselves under what conditions are the pork, chicken, or beef etc grown that they consume. The reality is that it is a tight margin driven business where animals are reared in factories. Instead of trying to hammer this home, the Meatrix tries a more engaging approach using animation.
Taking the plot line from The Matrix, it is a clever Flash animation with the voice of Moophius sounding remarkably like Laurence Fishburne and explaining just how meat is produced and all the attendant problems such as pollution, destruction of small farms, over use of anti-biotiocs and of course cruelty to animals.
It's very well done and they've produced the sequels "The Matrix II- revolting" and "The MatrixII and 1/2". there are links onsite to information about how to obtain food produced uaing less intensive and more humane methods.
