The Art of Toast
About five years ago, London was chocka with New Zealanders. I think it's a rite of passage for them- like Indian tribes where their youths had to kill a lion to become a warrior and New Zealanders come to London. Anyway, Maurice Bennett is a New Zealander sculptor who also makes art from toast (I bet his local bakery loves him!) and as you can see from his website, it's quite remarkable. "Sculpting with flame."
Yes those images pictured are made out of toast- this isn't the same type of thing as seeing Jesus's head on a piece of toast and then selling it on Ebay but genuine works of art constructed from many pieces of toast.
