Tanks A Lot – Comrade!
Back in WWII, a Russian kid notices tank tracks going into a lake. A few years ago he mentions it to a local War Hostory club and they decide to investigate. They found a T34/76 Russian tank with German markings. Evidently it had been captured by the Germans and when they retreated, they sank it to stop the Russians reusing it.
They used a 68 tonne bulldozer and took six hours to get the 27 ton tank out of the water. The photos and video show the tank being recovered. It's in fine shape after 62 years under water with no rust!
