Speed Cameras Legal Challenge via Human Rights
The law (S172) that compels the legal owners of vehicles in the UK to reveal the identify of the driver will be challenged in the European Court of human rights under the belief that it contradicts the "Right To Silence", ie you shouldn't have to confess that it was you driving and thus incriminate yourself.
This is from Safe Speed, a website that campaigns actively against Speed Cameras. Paul Smith who run the site is a retired engineer and has produced an astounding amount of statistics and facts against Speed Cameras. For instance exposing the "Big Lie" that 1/3rd of all accidents are caused by speeding. The Govts own research lab disproves that. Safespeed is not against speed limits but that they should be set appropriately, not just lowered to increase revenue.
The picture is of a speed camera that resembles a sinking ship.
