Seeing Stars
Since I was a kid, astronomy, and particular cosmology has had a bit of a fascination for me, so I loved this website. It is a good overview of the size of space in graspable terms. Getting a feel for just how big the Universe is and where things fit together is not that easy.
The website has been put together by Richard Powell, a fellow Brit who I wouldn't like to describe as an amateur as he has an Msc on the Big Bang! It's clearly a labour of love and the site is deceptive in its apparent simplicity- there is a lot of stuff on it. Navigation could be improved but otherwise this is an excellent website and highly recommended.
