Renault – Flash Games- Win Prizes (UK)
As I've said before I usually try to avoid the ultra commercial websites- but sometimes I will include the odd one, like this. Renault as part of a marketing campaign for their Megane Sport cars have been offering prizes for best scores in various Flash games. One thing about marketing campaigns like this – they can afford to pay for excellence.
The one pictured was Windscreen wipeout which had you controlling a raindrop running down the windscreen, a variation on a very old skier game. Currently the game is a paper glider. If you get the best scores in lots of games you can even win a car.
Using games for marketing is not new- back in 1984, I was a partner in a software house that provided 10 games for a bank's marketing campaign, running on BBC Micros.
