Picture of Venice
This is a pretty picture- beautifully drawn of a Venetian canal near dusk. It took the artist ( Nhat vinh ly who lives in Canada) some 500 hours using just Microsoft Paint! This is like cutting the grass on any soccer pitch with scissors! Folly and madness but a truly excellent piece of work. Surely he could have been taught to use a better package like Photodraw and finished that in much less than 500 hours (for both learning and drawing).
It reminds me of 25 years ago. I knew a bloke (a radio amateur as it happens) who wrote a package for handling video rentals running on a Tandy TRS-80 for a local video shop. He wrote it in machine code (not assembler!). 5KB of handwritten binary code!
