I gather that this was called MusicPlasma but has changed its name and purpose by adding movies. It's a free method of finding film and music similar to that you already know and like. This seems to be e bit of a growth area what with Pandora as well.

It is very colourful, using Flash to visualize the other musicians, films etc. The floating bar lets you click through to Amazon.com. This is a different approach to Pandora though which ultimately succeeds or maybe both remains to be seen. It's interesting. You can zoom in and out though it's not the most intuitive and could be improved.
