Hi-Tech Ticket to Private Madonna Concert on NY Eve
As you can see I've got my New Years Eve sorted. No venue yet but it's somewhere private for a very small audience (20 or 30 tops). How did I get it? I guess someone likes this blog and offered me the chance to buy it.
I can't obviously reveal their identity/website until all tickets have gone and the embargo is lifted (I'm not official press anyway) but I can just give it a little mention here. All tickets buyers had to prove identity (I used my passport- sheesh! And they took index finger prints from both hands) so the tickets can't be sold on.
There's also a counterfoil laminated card with my photo and bar coded finger-prints. I couldn't scan it because it shows up black on a photocopier/scanner. Also even if I could, showing a photo would be just asking for trouble.
All this security so no touts can ever get a look in and inflate prices. So I can't sell it, though I wonder how much it would have fetched on Ebay? Anyway, can't be done. Is this the future for concerts?
I like the Touchingly Close tour title! But tour is a bit OTT. It's only for one night!
No Link Yet, as there is a Press Embargo for a few days. (I'll add the link to this later).
