Adverts by Google

celtx Free Scriptwriting |Software CeltXEveryone has a script in them (just as everyone has a novel). But film screen writing is quite conservative in its layouts. If typewriters were good enough in the past, a layout that looks typewritten is good enough today.

Celtx is a free application (unusual in this industry) that not only helps write it as in managing the layout of scripts, but assists in development as in linking characters to scenes, lets you storyboard of sorts  It also helps In their words "Complete a media rich breakdown of your project, tagging items like props, wardrobe items or cast members with notes, pictures and sound files to help give shape to your Media Project. "

In a particular location, say a railway station,  you can have the script link directly to a database where you have a picture of the station and points to remember about it. Props, makeup, F/X, production notes, electrics, and so on can be linked into this database.
