This is a sort of Kaleidoscope effect but it's really an experiment in Flash,, a sort of toy though not quite as fully featured as this Flash kaleidoscope featured on Portent.

There are a number of presets in the bottom left corner, just click on one then move the cursor over the main part of the screen. Interesting.
