Face of Tomorrow
Another composite face website- like this one on Face Research covered in Portent. Face of Tomorrow is by South African but now living in Turkey photographer Mike Mike who travels the world taking photos of people in each city. You can compare and contrast 2-4 photos from people around the world and add your own city if its not there.
I have a sense of what this project is about. I grew up in N. Ireland (though I'm English) and it was noticeable that some people had faces that you would describe as "Irish". Whatever the particular facial feature or structure is I don't know but it was something I've seen time and time again. In London, I can usually recognise someone of Somali origin and some of the other African tribes that have stayed relatively pure. No doubt other similarities exist in other parts of the world and this project helps to reveal those. My conjecture is that its some particular gene or combinations of genes that evolved according to local conditions and then spread through the population there.
The faces are composited so you can see a typical face from an area.
