Death and Taxes are the two certainties in life. But how does a nation like the USA spend $2.8,000,000,000,000 ? Well this poster gives you an idea of all the federal institutions that receive money. Much of it goes on the military, $784 millions on replacing carriers, $2.288 billions on Virginia Class submarines etc etc. As someone (possibly Everett Dirksen – a 1960s Congressman) is quoted "a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you're talking real money".
The poster is so big that the only way to view it online is through the zoom and pan flash viewer. It's very pretty and must have taken quite a few hours to prepare. You can of course buy the printed poster.
