Dangerous Desirable Toys – Lasers
Everyone loves lasers, who hasn't messed with a pointer? But what if they were powerful to burst balloons? There is one website that sells powerful lasers. US and UK laws restrict access to lasers, but as this company is in Shanghai they probably don't care. Still if you want to point to a building ten miles away and highlight it for your friends, these are the lasers you'd use!
I used to work with a guy who got his doctorate in a physics lab and he said that anyone who plays with lasers that can melt plastic (as these can) will burn holes in their retinas sooner or later. Beams bounce off objects. Burn enough holes and you go blind. "It's great fun.. until someone loses an eye!".
