Well I can see that this new website is going to irritate at least two different groups of people.
- Those who live here. "Hey've they put our town online-let's look… oh…."
- Those who think the earth was created 6,000 years and don't believe in evolution.

The site currently contains more than 50,000 searchable text pages and 40,000 images of both publications and handwritten manuscripts. This is a project by the University of Cambridge and is sponsored by the Charles Darwin Trust. It includes the Freeman bibliographical catalogue of all Darwin's writings which is considered to be the Darwin reference. This is a most admirable reference website.
