A Plastic Monument to a Moggie

legochurch A Plastic Monument to a MoggieShāh Jahān was a prolific builder who created the gardens and palaces of Shalimar in honor of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal and after she died he built the Taj Mahal. On a somewhat lesser scale Amy Grant, an American computer programmer built this impressive Church of Abston ( a fictional town) in lego, in memory of her cat Precious.

The church is about 7 feet by 5 1/2 feet by 30 inches (2.2 m x 1.7 m x .76 m). Abston comes from
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene which is what Lego bricks are made of. A very impressive underrtaking that took a year and a half. More facts on the FAQ on the site.
