30 Seconds – Map of the Earth’s Antipodes
I've always wanted to visit the Antipodes. I hear the climate is nice, the natives are friendly and they all talk English! Well that's not quite correct as the Antipodes for London is a big stretch of Pacific just north of New Zealand's North Island.
This map has the Antipodes superimposed(in yellow). In case you didn't know- the Antipodes of any point on the earth is the point on the opposite side of the earth. Iif you could dig an 8,000 mile (approx) hole in your garden,go through the centre of the earth and pop out the other side, it's where you would emerge. Though I suspect you would be rather crispy as the earth's core is a little warm to put it mildly.
