A site at CalTech hosts some stunning images of space from the 2 Micron All Sky Survey. (2MASS). Its final release will provide the astronomical community with over one million research-quality images in each of the three infrared colors observed by 2MASS. Many colour images have been created from hundreds or thousands of photos.

Shown above are the 30 largest galaxies. It's part of the 2MASS showcase with all the gorgeous images.
