2001 Film Homage (in Lego!)
Kubrick's 1969 masterpiece of science fiction was one I actually got to see. My father entered a crossword competition and won two tickets! There aren't many films which start without any dialogue for some 30-45 minutes. It was pretty amazing for the sets considering that CGI wasn't available back then. I love the cinematography and can't hear the Blue Danube now without thinking of the docking and lunar landing scenes.
Now you can see a 4 minute homage to the film 2001 done in Lego. Note that Ifilm show a short animated advert before it. The image above is a somewhat shorter Lego version of the film's trippy bit towards the end (nowadays you'd call it travelling through a wormhole I guess).
